Charles Manson in court in 1986. (Associated Press) |
The Times reported this week that Manson, 82, had been taken to a hospital for treatment of an undisclosed but serious medical problem. Officials with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation have declined to comment on Manson’s condition, citing federal and state privacy laws.
But Terry Thornton, a spokeswoman for the department, confirmed Friday that Manson was back behind bars.
"Inmate Manson is at California State Prison-Corcoran,” she said in an email, declining to elaborate in a follow-up phone call: "He is at the prison. I don't know how much plainer it can be."
Thanks prefeteria

This story has made the mainstream news over here (Ireland) this week and it still amazes me that all the headlines still refer to Manson as either a serial killer or a mass murderer.
ReplyDeleteI know he isn't in good shape, at all. But if he was on his last leg, would they put him back in prison?
ReplyDeleteI know he isn't in good shape, at all. But if he was on his last leg, would they put him back in prison?
ReplyDeleteWell there is the chance that there was nothing else they can do for him at the Hospital, so they sent him back to the prison infirmary, where it is less expensive and takes up one less important space,
ReplyDeleteor TMZ was completely bogus,
or I have no idea at all what is really going on...
But I do tell you that this is the last news I expected when I went to sleep last night lol
I honestly do not know what to make of this?
ReplyDeleteI do feel like if they decided there was nothing they could do for him at Hospital- which last report said they were trying to mull- they would send him back. He wouldnt die taking up space at Mercy. After they did all they could for Atkins she went back to the prison from Hospital....
ReplyDeleteSusan Atkins, the convicted murderer and onetime Charles Manson disciple, died late Thursday after being placed on hospice status earlier in the week.
Terry Thornton, spokeswoman for the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, told ABCNews.com that Atkins had been placed in the prison hospital's hospice a few days ago when death seemed "imminent."
She received round the clock pastoral care, a service provided to inmates at that hospital so they don't die alone.
"It's just an effort to bring some dignity to inmates in the last time they have on Earth," Thornton said.
But again- I am really confused and unsure of what to believe....
ReplyDeleteDon't worry about it, Saint.
I'm sure soon enough Charlie will get to a phone and call a couple of friends and tell them what's going on. And then they’ll tell two friends. And so on. And so on. And so on.
Manson Mythos said: "But if he was on his last leg, would they put him back in prison?"
ReplyDeleteYes
A friend of mine had a close friend in prison. He was dying and she wanted to get him out so that he wouldn't have to die in prison. He was granted release on medical grounds, but when she got there to get him she was stalled by red tape.
ReplyDeleteWhen she verbalized her desire to get him out before he died the very caring corrections officer in charge of discharge (back to the state employees thing) said, "People die in prison every day."
She got him out hours before he passed away and he died a free man.
What a waste of tax payers money. He gets all the rights to privacy mean while Sharon and all the other victims have their rights stumped all over.
ReplyDeleteI hear this so much and it doesn't make sense to me. We know none of the victims deserved to be murdered but that doesn't mean we can't provide basic care for prisoners. He is no longer a threat to anybody and after everythibg he had done to him and he has done to others I hope he can finally know peace.
DeleteWhat a waste of tax payers money. He gets all the rights to privacy mean while Sharon and all the other victims have their rights stumped all over.
ReplyDeleteSaint I think your assessment that there wasn't anything more the outside hospital could do for him so he was sent back to the prison hospital is probably correct. He was creating quite a stir at the hospital in Bakersfield and just by being Charles Manson he interrupted the normal course of business at that hospital.
ReplyDeleteI don't think it means that yesterday's TMZ article wasn't true. It could very well be that Charlie was too weak to go through a surgery though not too weak to take an ambulance ride back to the prison.
I also think that Ziggy's prediction that Charlie will get to a phone and phone a friend etc. is probably also true.

Yes, the hospital knew they had a problem when several of nurses were recently seen with an 'X' newly burned into their foreheads.
I must have missed that Deb- Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI do not know what the hell is really going on. But, I would imagine they are not going to give anyone a heads up when he gets close to the end as they wont want any unwanted visitors or attention. I guess- only a guess- they will make an announcement after the fact when there is nothing or nobody for anyone to try and get near or close to out of desperation....
It does make more sense to me that They would give Deb information that Roberts, and Deb said he was hanging in there or something like that.
But If that TMZ report about him being too sick for Surgery is true. I think they decided that the situation would be more secure if he were inside of the prison instead of the Hospital...
But some clarification would be great please lol

DeleteIn reference to Penny Lane's question about Charlies always telling the truth I found this 1985 quote from Sandra Good on Mansondirect.com:
ReplyDelete"He absolutely did not control anything that went on at that ranch. The only one thing that he insisted upon was don't lie. Make your word good. He lived by the old convict code. Don't snitch. Do not snitch. Take responsibility for your own actions. Whatever you do, you do because you want to do it, and take responsibility for what you do. And unfortunately that's not what people have ended up doing. They're going along with the D.A.'s lies in order to get their freedom from prison. They have bought into the D.A.'s reality."

ReplyDeleteIts hard for me to defend anyone without question- even my own parents. I just don't get that....
What Trump is doing with Russia shows just how bad his ego controls his thought process. He just wont accept what the most serious and informed people in our intelligence are telling him for vain reasons and it is letting everyone see plainly that his main priority will always be his own self esteem....
There needs to be a strong push to get me on the next ballot :)
Obama and Clinton is far more like the media version of Manson.
ReplyDeleteBugliosi said Manson hide behind the guise of a leftist savior and appealed to noble motives. Obama is from the Saul Alinksy school of leftist agitators, as is Hillary Clinton. They can agitate and rub raw the sores they create with manufactured crisis.
They said Manson threw fuel on the fire of the disenfranchised before putting weapons in their hands and essentially sending them off to commit murder in order to topple the government and cause chaos. That is exactly what Clinton and the Obama administration did in Libya and Syria. Staged protests, staged agitators stirring up the angry and used the western media to propagate lies. Not for the "great good", but because those leaders refused to play ball with the globalists (Saudi Arabia do, so we can overlook their barbaric behavior).
Clinton tried it with Russia by funding and staging anti-Putin protests and using western created propaganda like "Pussy Riot" to cause subversion and put on a show for the media.
You seriously believe the CIA too? This is what? The first time in the history of the US that those on the left actually trusted the CIA? Clinton wanted to bring her "regime change" for her buddy Soros to Russia for years now. This is why she poked them with a stick so much and is agitating with this hacking nonsense.
The CIA were also "highly confident" Saddam had WMD and was buying "yellow cake" and used that to justify their criminal act of having him taken out and replaced with a puppet government.
Trump is doing the right thing. Tell the globalists to stick it up their ass. No doubt this nonsense is also about preventing any United States intervention and cooperation with Assad and Putin to fix the mess the US created there.
Ah, MM, you have proved the writer's point!
ReplyDelete...and you're any different? Each one of you on the left openly mocked the CIA and Bush (as did a lot on the right) with his hysteria over "yellow cake".
ReplyDeleteThis is the same CIA who backed up Clinton's claim that the Bengazi attack was over an "Islamophobic" YouTube video. Which was, absoutely 100% total bullshit and bold face vile lie. Clinton is a master at turning a negative into a plus and twisting the problem into something helpful for her agenda. Lost election? Blame Russia. Bengazi attack? Blame "Islamophobia" (because Islamophobia is the big reason terror attacks happen, not from the utter destruction of Muslim majorities and overthrow of legit governments).
And again...
ReplyDeleteI don't understand why every time I ask about a Trump mistake or issue- I get an answer that involves Clinton or Obama?
ReplyDeleteI am not asking about them.
Trump was told by several heads of all major intelligence agencies that something was so, and he wont accept it because it might be considered a fact that takes something away from his legitimacy. He has too much stubborn pride. He puts his own self interest and image ahead of the bigger picture. That is a problem for a guy with his job.
Hillary emails- Benghazi- Obama birthplace- the price of tea in China- all that is great and completely another issue.
Donald Trump is my president. He has zero military experience. If he isn't going to listen to the experts around him, who are charged with providing it to him- how and where does he get it? Ivanaka and Rudi will make military decisions with him over lunch at Trump Tower?
It makes me nervous.
I think we need to be fair. He is surrounding himself with knowledgeable people so before we jump the gun we have to wait and see what he does.
Delete:)
DeleteIm not surprised it makes u nervous...it makes me nervous,I cant imagine how it must FEEL living in the US..strange days indeed...oh and i have now dreamt on two occasions in the past week that Charlie dies on the 11 of this month..yep strange days :)
DeleteBecause you have to be applying that Clinton and or Obama were the better ones and they are not. They are pieces of shit and as I made it loud and clear, the CIA are not and never were trustworthy and fabricating lies for political purpose is nothing new.
ReplyDeleteEven if Russia did hack (I trust Assange over the CIA and their report doesn't convince me), it doesn't mean anything really nefarious was in the works. We KNOW Putin did not want Clinton. We KNEW war with Russia was on the agenda with Clinton. She took out Libya, Syria and Russia was next on the "Regime change" list. Wanting the candidate who wants a relationship instead of wanting to overthrow you is common sense.
Even kooky Jill Stein urged people to vote for Trump over Clinton because anyone who doesn't have their head up their ass knew what Clinton was up to.
Let's try not to devolve into politics. There are other forums for that. We are here to discuss Manson fucking Doris Day.
ReplyDeleteI also find it funny the Marxist Obama is causing hysteria over Russia meddling in elections to undermine the people, after he has overthrown governments and turned stable countries into hellholes under the rule of monsterous terrorists groups the CIA trained, yes, the CIA taking about Russian hackers.
ReplyDeleteAlso, how did a group of ugly Marxist feminists, a so-called "anti-Putin" Punk band (who never played guitars, just carried them) became such a big thing in the western and were plastered all over CNN? They stuffed chickens in their vaginas in public, performed sex acts in a church and were properly arrested. Then the hypocrites in the west swallowed the Putin-is-a-dictator poison. Obama voiced support for them (even though they would get arrested in any US city for that shit) and Clinton called them, "brave" (now you know why degenerate feminists are emulating them here).
It's because Pussy Riot is an invention of the US state department. That's meddling.
Sorry... :)
ReplyDeleteMM are you done? Please?

DeleteI wish I hadn't opened this thread .... I actually agree with MM. I don't know if I can live with that.
ReplyDeleteBAKERSFIELD, Calif. (AP) — Cult leader Charles Manson is back in a Central California prison after a reported hospital stay for an unspecified medical problem.
ReplyDeleteManson, 82, was at California State Prison, Corcoran as of Saturday, said Jeffrey Callison, a spokesman for the state Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.
"We never stated he was anywhere else," Callison said in an email. "Medical privacy laws do not allow (the department) to discuss inmates' medical issues, if any."
The department has declined to comment on reports from TMZ.com and the Los Angeles Times that earlier in the week Manson was taken to a hospital in Bakersfield, 60 miles south of the prison.
While the prison has medical facilities, California prisoners generally are sent to outside hospitals if they need "surgical services, emergency care, or diagnostic services of an acute nature," Joyce Hayhoe, a spokeswoman for the federal receiver who controls prison medical care, said Tuesday.

Matt snipped this part of the La Times story from his post. Maybe this will help :
Manson had been admitted to Mercy Hospital in downtown Bakersfield, according to sources who requested anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly about the matter. Officials at the hospital, which often treats inmates for life-threatening illnesses or injuries, would not say whether Manson was there.
It’s unclear exactly what treatment Manson got at the hospital.
My name is Mario George Nitrini 111
ReplyDeleteI was/and still am personally involved in The OJ Simpson Case.
I am commenting here on this blog about my encounter with Charles Manson.
In January of 1969. I was going home from work turning left on DeSoto from Vanowen. There was this guy
hitch-hiking with a guitar. I NEVER had picked up a hitch-hiker, but I did in this instance. Why?????
I asked this guy his name and where he was going. He said his name was Charlie and he was going to where he was staying. As we drove Charlie was non-stop talking. Weird stuff I thought at the time. I can't exactly remember where we stopped, but it was somewhere in-between Nordoff and Lassen off DeSoto. Charlie had me stop at a construction site and he said:
"Here We Are"
I thought to myself
WTH???
OK, we went into this structure and down about 6 feet and there was a
makeshift bed and a eating place
BIZZARE
Charlie talked about "Things" to me.
He wrote me out what he called a "contract" 2 full pages of scribbled writing
Unreal
He also said that he was singing and playing at a little place in Topanga Canyon that evening and asked me to come hear him. As I left his "home"
I thought to myself, NO.
Well, when I got home I tried to read this "contract" (Impossible-Bizzare)
But, later that evening, sure enough, I went to hear Charlie sing. When I got there, there were 4 females ooing & ahhing at everything he did. I said to myself, this is NOT for me. Too Weird.
There is a lot more to this encounter with me and Charles Manson. Another time perhaps.
I have some people connections with some connected to the Charles Manson Saga, some extremely serious.
Also dialogue with Steve Grogan-Clem.
A connection also is my ex-nephew-in-law, Rocky Bateman, OJ Simpson's regular limousine driver.
I have wondered for a long time, how different my life would have been if I would have continued to see Charles Manson.....?????
I graduated Chatsworth High School in June of 1968.
I have 3 questions for anyone in or connected to The Manson Family:
1. Did anyone ever have a "contract" written for them by Charles Manson?
2. Was anyone ever at the construction site where Manson stayed?
3.Did anyone ever hear Charles Manson sing at The Fireside Inn?
Thanks

"Charles Manson is finally strong enough to undergo a surgery that will repair a lesion in his intestines that has caused significant bleeding ... TMZ has learned.
TMZ broke the story ... Manson was rushed almost a week ago from Corcoran State Prison to a hospital in Bakersfield, CA for an operation. We're told Manson refused the surgery, but on Thursday had a change of heart.
Hours before the scheduled operation, doctors determined they couldn't put the 82-year-old under and operate because he was too weak ... so the surgery was scrubbed.
We're now told Manson's regained his strength and doctors have green lit the procedure, which will now go down later today.
Our sources say Manson will also receive a blood transfusion."

DeleteI don't know why I picked-up Charles Manson when he was
hitch-hiking, but I did. I have read through the years how certain individuals in his "family" were under his influence to-the-max.
I am going to be very general.
When I was at that construction site with CM, Manson hinted that:
"Things are here at my home that nobody knows about except me and a few trusted ones"
What did that mean to me?
At that time? Not much.
But, as I reflect on the past of Charles Manson and some of his followers, and the way Manson gestures, I can assume up to the very worst.
I have to say, I am not the kind of person that gets un-nerved easily, but I can say with all reality, Manson's words in this situation was/is VERY un-nerving to me.

MGN,
ReplyDeleteCould you also give me a better idea of the route driven from pick up to construction site (if you remember)? It might help locate the site as it would seem to be an abandoned work site.
I should explain- if I recall correctly at some point in January '69 Manson moved the family to a place called the Yellow Submarine- someone here could easily correct me on this and should if I'm off. If I recall prior to that they were in Death Valley (or Spahn?- help) but Manson took several trips into LA. After one in December some of us believe something caused Manson to believe HS was imminent.
But if I recall there is a gap between say December 30th and the move to the Yellow Submarine and if this was Manson's personal crash pad that would make the location interesting.
Also since, 'no' I am personally not aware of any written contracts and Manson had some issues reading (and I would think- writing) you don't happen to have kept it?
Finally, if I could ask, since you were involved with the music industry were you at the time and did you discuss that with him?
Thanks again.
Dreath,
DeleteGreat questions
What I remember about the route, I picked-up Manson on the corner of DeSoto and Vanowen. We went North. I just can't remember what street I turned left on and then made a right, drive about a half a block, parked on the east side and walked across the street. I just don't remember the streets.
As crazy as it may seem, the construction site was anything but abandoned, there was all kind of fresh lumber, work vehicles, ect, ect. It was a construction site building, as I recall, houses or apartments.
From what I remember, Manson made reference that this construction site was not the only place he stayed.
The timing? I thought it was mid-January, but I just can't pin-point the date. Could've been the week of January 6th. Just not sure.
Wow, Manson had issues reading. Well that would explain his scribbling on this so-called contract of his. That makes it 100% logical. Thank you.
I've only kicked myself
26,755,087 times in the butt for not keeping that contract.
But who knew.
The music, yes, that's what brought up CM asking me to come hear him play at
The Fireside Inn

ReplyDeleteMr. Nitrini,
ReplyDeleteWith all due respect, sir, that was 47 years ago. Your recall is extraordinary. In fact, it is unbelievably extraordinary.
Example: for 47 years you had no interest in this case (but spent a good deal of time furthering other conspiracies)
http://www.perrspectives.com/blog/archives/000195.htm
http://blogmyspacecommariognitrini111.blogspot.com
......but now remember turning left and then making a right, driving about a half a block, parking on the east side and walking across the street.
While it is true that a witness with 'selective memory' after so many years is unreliable a witness who remembers too many details is equally unreliable.
I wish you well.
Dreath,

I thank you for letting me comment on this blog.
A few corrections. I have always had an interest in The Charles Manson Saga. I just have never blogged about it, for reasons......
If you have the time, please research about what I've talked about on this blog.
Selective memory? No
I've run this encounter I had with Charles Manson in my head over and over so many times, probably over a 1000 times
If you ever have an opportunity, ask someone connected to the case about what I know in The Charles Manson Saga.

ReplyDeleteLooking back at how this started.
Tuesday - 2 PM PT, TMZ reports that Manson is in the hospital :
"Charles Manson has been taken out of the prison where he will spend the rest of his life ... into a hospital ... TMZ has learned.
Manson left California's Corcoran State Prison on Tuesday to get treatment for an undisclosed ailment. We're told he's at a Bakersfield hospital -- about an hour away from the penitentiary."
Tuesday - Matthew Roberts does an "Exclusive" interview/photo shoot in his apartment with Radar Online (Note that Roberts says the Manson info came from Afton "Star" Burton) :
"Charles Manson's "son" has rushed to the 82-year-old's deathbed in a desperate bid to let him know he loves him before he dies, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned. Matthew Roberts doesn't want to miss his last chance to see the cult leader — imprisoned for his part in the slaying of nine people in 1969 — after he was rushed from prison in Corcoran, Calif., to a hospital 60 miles away for treatment.
Roberts, 48, told Radar he understood Manson was "in a serious condition and having surgery" for a heart related problem — information passed on via Manson's fiancée Afton "Star" Burton — and he was heading to the hospital Tuesday evening."
Tuesday - The LA Times :
"Mass murderer Charles Manson was taken from a Central Valley prison to a hospital for an undisclosed medical issue, two sources familiar with the situation said.
One of the sources said Manson was seriously ill but could not provide specific information."
He's back in Corcoran and strong enough to place phone calls. While he is not in tip top shape, he's not on his deathbed either. In typical MSM fashion, a lot of what was said written in the past week is pure hyperbolt.
ReplyDeleteI am glad for you if that is true...
ReplyDeleteNot sure about hyperbole- I smoked a few bowls last week?
Personally, I only posted the news reports I could find and although I was told several times by several people he had died- I never did anything other than post the news I saw and express frustration there wasn't more of it.
But MM if that is the truth that is god news for you and that's ok with me :)
I just want to know whats going on either way. I am not waiting to do a victory lap when he goes. However it will be important news for myself and those who follow this blog that I enjoy so much...
Penny, I'm not too worried. The US Congress has many ways of keeping the president in check. What bothers me most is that he'a a Yankee fan!
ReplyDeleteOh, do your UK friends know that you have Manson dreams?
Lol..Matt..you will be disgusted but I have no idea what the Yankees play ...cos it aint AFL..Im aussie as :)..and yes my friends think im a little strange...with my Manson interest..😨

ReplyDeleteRiddles are only interesting if the solution is truth.
ReplyDeleteThats is why I spent so much time trying to sort through Mr H's. I think his had some in there somewhere.

Penny the Yankees are the most suscsesssfull sports franchise in US sports history with 27. They play baseball and had a guy named Babe Ruth you. At have heard of and also a guy named Mickey Mantle who my father was named after
ReplyDelete;)
27 world Championships. Sorry
DeleteMatt cheers for their cross town rivals who have had less success lol
ReplyDeleteBut had the 86 team which is my favorite all time team in any one year. Read one of the books about those maniacs.
Ok ..I have heard of both those dudes..but baseball well its not exactly AFL is it ? I mean thats a game..
ReplyDeleteBaseball is my least favorite sport lol. Matt still plays. He has more passion for it.
ReplyDeleteYou do not have to be a great athlete to play as you do in AFL but it has its moments
And your favorite ? Is Coors light a sport ?
ReplyDeletelol Beer pong ;)
ReplyDeleteI like Football and Basketball more than anything else...
ReplyDeleteBy the way Matt could play in the AFL lol. I am six two and 215. Matt is one and a half me lol he also doesn't look like he has an inch of fat on him.
ReplyDeleteI would last about 15 minutes. I got soft lol
But I can play beer pong on any continent with the best of them
Oops I devolved again. Sorry
ReplyDeleteBack to Manson :)
But don't worry MM. not until I get anything real lol
Lol im a rare aussie that doesnt drink..but could prolly chuff u under the table...AFL players come in all shapes and sizes btw ..except fat lol

it may appear I came from nowhere, but I have followed this Charles Manson Saga from the first time I saw Manson's face in the newspaper
Have you ever been on any of the Manson/Tate LaBianca related sites and commented ? I don't recall hearing of you and I don't remember you on this blog or any of the others I've been on, so to me, you've come out of nowhere. That's not a spurious accusation or anything. It just means I've not come across you anywhere that I recall.
I'm curious as to how you put together that it was Charles Manson that you picked up, given that it was almost a year from when you say you did to when he began to be splashed about the papers, TV and magazines and given that he frequently changed his appearance. I think it was Squeaky that once refereed to him as a changeling, changing almost every time she saw him. Even looking at pictures of him during 1969, he really changed his appearance quite a bit. I'm not saying that you didn't pick him up because that was one of the preferred ways of travel back then and loads of people over a 2 year period would have picked him or other Family members up; some would remember, some not, some would but would have no interest in pursuing it and some would dine out on it for all it was worth !
But you can't blame people for giving you a grilling and taking a doubtful stance. There have been a number of hoaxes and frauds connected with TLB over the years. They are nearly always convincing.
I am Mario George Nitrini 111
I don't recall that ever being in dispute.
