Bobby's Parole Hearing Moved to February

I am not on Bobby Beausoleil's mailing list but a friend of mine is on the list.  That friend received an email saying that Bobby's parole hearing has been moved from October up to mid February.  Here is the text of the email.

My request to the Board Of Parole Hearings for advancement of my hearing was granted in consideration of the new materials Jason  submitted to the Board on my behalf. The hearing was advanced by ten months and is now scheduled to take place in mid-February. We have been preparing for this hearing for several years, and most of the prep work has been done; overall we are in good shape to proceed. However, there are still a few pieces that need to be done, such as gathering together some letters of support for my release from close friends and relations who may be inclined to write one. There is a bit of a scramble to get these things together in the weeks left to us before we must commence with the hearing.

A letter of support from you will be most welcome. If you would like to weigh in and express your point of view or your sentiments regarding my release on parole, I invite you to do so.

After so many years and so many parole hearings writing a letter may seem like an exercise in futility, especially with the politics that are unfortunately an influence in my situation. But there really is no telling in advance how these things will go. Parole dates are being granted, some surprising ones at that.  If the Board is leaning at all toward granting me a parole in this hearing a letter of support from you is likely to figure significantly in their consideration.

From experience I can tell you that a letter of support is most likely to be read by the Board if the length of the letter is kept to one page or less. Typewritten or handwritten, either way is fine, whatever your preference. The heading can be To the Board of Parole Hearings, In Support of Robert Beausoleil, or simply To Whom It May Concern. If you choose to write a letter, please address it to:

Support for Robert Beausoleil
c/o Jason T. Campbell, Esq.
Bay Area Lawyers PA
300 Montgomery Street, Ste. 660
San Francisco, CA 94104

Again, from long experience I know that there is no talking anyone into granting me a parole date. Doing the right thing is a choice we all make in the moment, and is not something that can be imposed on a person or entity by another. I am resolved to hold to the center and preserve my integrity whatever the outcome of this hearing may be. Honestly, this is the best I can do, and I will pray for the strength to hold true in this resolve.

I am grateful for your support, in whatever manner you choose
to express it.

In love and peace,

Bobby

  1. He really is a victim isnt he? He's either kidding himself with this 'letter of support' crap or he's already getting plenty of them

  2. I shared this information with CieloDrive, he exercised due diligence and contacted the CDC. Bobby's parole hearing has indeed been moved up to Feb. 19th.

You know, this letter works both ways, if you don't want to see Bobby paroled, you can send a letter to the parole board saying as much.

  3. The only way he should ever leave prison is in a pine box. They will probably bury his broke ass in a unmarked grave at the prison.

  5. Manson who I believe as a teenager was a thieving, dishonest, anti-social, psychotic, hillbilly who realised that it was easier to take from others with threats and aggression with no remorse, even though he attended church. Hence he had to be locked away from the community, hoping that he would stop taking from others, what they worked hard for.
He also had sex with young girls and did not care about leaving them pregnant leaving heartache in his wake. I also love the Beatles music too, coming from Liverpool. I did not live the lyrics, as I am not that gullible, they are just make believe written by songwriters. When Manson started implementing his philosophical rhetoric on his chosen ones, which he espouses with such conviction, these innocent damaged teens were easy prey with lots of L.S.D thrown in. He first showed them love, fed their ego's, as this is what the movement was about in the beginning. He then changed them into sluts, sleeping with the flower people, bums, bikies and converts for favours. Children were then created by the males who were 'coming' and going. They had numerous transient fathers some with S.T.Ds who became clones of Manson, who was now in his element, murdering, stealing, taking from the haves, pimping out the once innocent teens. Food was needed and their Messiah had them scavenging out of bins and begging. I believe as soon as there was no money, this mean't no drugs and the females were getting straight, they wanted to leave. Manson realising his strengths were leaving, he bashed them and kept their children as hostages. Its a pity this little shit Manson was not stillborn at birth. But alas we are all created equal and society gives us all the same opportunities which most enjoy by achievement and success.
There is only one Manson and he is locked away forever this time. I think 40 years is long enough for these once brainwashed teens, with a test for drugs every week and notify authorities if they leave the state. Also no contact with known criminals.

  7. This man isn't going to be released, ever. He can't control his mouth during parole hearings, and always comes across as smug.

  8. I think what makes Bobby's situation so damn scary is HE could be anyone of US. He's the square peg that slipped into the round hole (circle) of the Manson Family and NOW, after decades HE can't get back out.

I know of other folks who in their lifetime made just ONE mistake that will effect THEM for the rest of their life.

Even Presidents and once respected organizations fall into the web of ultimate SHAME.

Look at LBJ, Nixon, Polanski and the Catholic Church.

AND if you have NOT fallen from grace YET - Be Aware !

  9. Robert: firstly, a happy new year to you, and to all here; I hope your festive season was rewarding and enriching.

"I think what makes Bobby's situation so damn scary is HE could be anyone of US. He's the square peg that slipped into the round hole (circle) of the Manson Family and NOW, after decades HE can't get back out.

I once asked an elderly religious friend, a Christian of Jewish ethnicity, what he thought should happen to Nazi war criminals. He said he would happily see them all hanged. I asked him how he squared this with the teachings of Jesus. He replied, "Well, Jesus was a radical. I too am happy to forgive my enemies, once they're hanged. Forgiveness is not the same thing as pretending that evil has no price."

I'm not sure any of us could be Bobby. Bobby took a knife and stabbed an innocent, generous, unarmed man to death. I'm sure there were Family members who couldn't have done what Bobby did either.

    Maybe I'm naïve...

  10. +1 pine box. And sure, we've all made mistakes, but what Beausoleil did wasn't a mistake- it was intentional. Murder.

  11. I think the prison should smash all his musical instruments and then throw him in a cell with the biggest, meanest, horniest man in the prison.

  12. I will write one on behalf of Bobby. If he meeds the critera to be paroled, then he should be. He did what he did when he was a kid and they still have him locked up. YET...Michael Alig is posting on twitter and having a ball. More people know his name than that of Bobby's and his crime was just as gruesome, if not more.
