  2. I kind of like the (real) version of this interview with Charlie. I've shown this to other people and they usually respond with, "Wow, he's crazy, all that 'hoob gabba foobra frazza stuff', what a nutso!" But it seems to me like he's playing OFF that whole perception that he's crazy.
He thinks the interview is bullshit, goes along with the assumption of the interviewer & TV audience that he is a psycho 'serial killer', and plays into their prejudices because he knows it's all a joke and people just want a freak show, not genuine insight into his views (even if his 'views', as We The Enlightened at Eviliz know, are really just con artistry).

Anyone agree with me, or am I giving him too much credit? I have little sympathy for the guy, but I do think he is fairly clever and knows he is America's Favourite Personification of Evil, knows this is crap, and plays with the image because noone is really going to listen to him anyhow.

  3. I wonder if Charlie still has AB connections. Does he even need them anymore? I'm also curious about Bobby's supposed AB connections, whether they were because of his still aligning himself with 'Family' views in some way or if they were unconnected.

Also, I wonder if Charlie ever got to see Breaking Bad.

  4. sherm, I don't think there's any question that he always at least TRIED to meet his interviewers. Just look at the Ron Reagan interview. Reagan trated him with respect & conducted a legitimate interview.

By far my favorite Manson display of disgust with an interviewer was a woman who began baiting him about whether he felt guilt. He reminded her that she was overweight & excused himself to take a shit. She wanted a freak interview & she got it.

  9. Bet Bruno Ganz could also play Manson.

  10. Just that they would like each other more, they would be on the same page, they would be drinking beer and laughing together. "Remember the time...." "Here's a toast to mind control..." That sort of thing.

My step father was an MD at CMF Vacaville and knew Manson quite well. He said Charlie is in no way crazy. Charlie just craves attention, negative OR positive. Quite common with people that were neglected as children.....

  12. When it comes to murder, sex, and NAZIs, the first person who comes to mind is that misunderstood Midwesterner, Frank Spisak, Jr. He had something for every neurosis.

First he opted for a little transgender action and changed his style of dress along with his name, going from Frank to Ann. But like many 30 somethings he/she was conflicted about completing the transformation into a woman, so what would Ann (nee) Frank do next? Compromise in a Salvador Dali-esque way and morph into the ultimate Teutonic, with one testicle…. Adolf Hitler.

Only in America, and Cleveland more specifically, could someone sport a toothbrush moustache, and goosestep around without being pimp slapped into next week. Then some murders take place where a couple men are shot. Were there witnesses, did they see anything, how would you describe the assailant? Welllllll…… it looked like Hitler shot those guys. Ok Pal, you better get out of this station or I’ll split that head with this baton faster than you can say “False Police Report”.

In spite of himself, or should I say…. Herr self? Spisak managed to get the attention of the police by firing his gun out of his apartment window. The police investigate the Fuhrer, but his papers are in order und zee cops leave.

Then someone anonymously phones (a schnitzel?) the police and tells them to check Hitler’s gun against the bullets from the mysterious murder spree, and they get a match. Alfie confesses to cleansing Cleveland, and is sentenced to death in 1983, all thanks to some fine police work.

But it didn’t end there; for the execution didn’t take place till 2011, or twice the amount of time the Third Reich existed. Staying classy till the very end, Spisak’s final words were recitations from the book of… yeah, you got it… Revelation.

Spisak also had a tiny Manson carved into his forehead. True story.

  13. You're spot-on Doc.

It's too convenient to just label Manson as "evil" or "insane" or whatever else people say.

The fact is a lot can be learned from exploring who Manson actually was and is...what exactly he DID do...and HOW exactly he did it...and, of course, the big WHY he did whatever it is that he did.

Contrary to "popular" belief, that has yet to be fully understood.

  14. I'd like to ask our readers this:

In your opinion, is Charles Manson guilty of ordering (giving instructions) to Tex, and girls to go to Terry Melcher's old house, and kill everyone there? Just wanting to do a little poll........

  15. Of course he did. The question is WHY?

  16. He didn't have to "order" Tex to do anything.

There's a big difference between an order and a suggestion or challenge.

One thing is for sure; Tex, Sadie, Katie, and Linda went to Cielo but only ONE of them was giving orders.

    "You owe me one!"
