IF the Manson trailer does NOT get at least 100 comments, YOU might as well pack it in. The imagery and subliminal messages provide a delicious peek into the future as to the many ways the name Charles Manson will be USED in the future.
NOW, back to Leary and HIS startling REVELATION: "But education/school is just information." "College clearly offers more varied and defined information. I.E. "Higher Learning."
Don't even bother to doubt Leary. HE is a "teacher." If HE is wrong on this one - WE are ALL screwed. So is a "teacher" merely a delivery-person of information? That is the question!!!
And when Charles Manson "delivered" the INFORMATION - to his Family - that he "taught" in prison - about the Black Muslims' prediction of their final conflict, the Battle of Armageddon - was he NOT just being like a "teacher." OR was HE acting like a "commander in chief" - ordering his soldiers to participate in some kind of human massacre.
Therein lies the answer to the question YOU ALL are supposedly looking for. You can thank Leary for the relevant clue!!
OH! - Notice the Nazi and Jewish imagery in the "trailer." Maybe Spielberg is going to DELIVER another goodie!!!! He's such a terrific "delivery-boy" AND Claire Watkins is pretty good too.
One time Patty told a co-worker that the "freedom" we all share as Americans is an illusion. The coworker did not take to Patty's assessment very well...damn teabaggers. (Haha Patty said teabag)

Hi Robert, I didn’t see your comment regarding Tex’s intellectual property rights until just now. I’ll concede I’m not a lawyer, but my understanding is that after Tex lost the attorney-client privilege argument, he and his lawyers attempted to argue that the trustee had no right to give LAPD tapes because they were Tex’s property. However the court ruled in favor of the trustee. The court ruled that Tex didn’t actually own the tapes because of the contract he signed in December 1969, when he retained the services of Boyd, Veigel & Gay. Below are the portions of the contracted cited in the Judge’s ruling.
I hereby transfer and assign one half of all my property of every kind and character including any money, compensation or other thing of value which I might receive as direct or indirect payment or royalty from any newspaper, magazine, television or radio station or other individual or companies for any statements, stories, interviews, pictures, tapes or recordings to BOYD, VEIGEL & GAY, 218 E. Louisiana Street, McKinney, Texas.
I further transfer and assign the remaining one half or so much of same asmay be necessary of said property to BOYD, VEIGEL & GAY to reimburse them for any expenses such as travel, lodging, meals, etc. that they may incur as a result of counseling and advising with me or representing me in Court.
Ah Robert, no offense but you really need to recalibrate. This trailer is not going to evoke a hundred comments. It's been up a day and it's evoked one - yours. Deb's was a question, Cielo's about another matter and Patty and Suze seem to be kibitzing about shopping and the illusion of freedom. The movie trailer is just not provocative. The dialogue writing is at a high school level and the imagery, while ghoulish enough, is run-of-the-mill music video crap. 100 comments??? Really. I'd like to ask you, man to man, to stop quoting from my posts and twisting my words to promote your anti-educational system rhetoric. We just disagree is all. I know the system is far from perfect, I've been voicing criticisms and trying to work from within it for change for decades. But it still works on many levels and there are a whole lot of good-willed folk working their asses off to make it better. So yes, I took offense when you and another seemed to dismiss the whole educational system as a robot factory. Actually, like you, I would give anything to hear Claire Watkin's thoughts on the subject. My guess is that she had several 'out of the box' teachers in school just as I did. I am not going to comment anymore about it, I learned a long time ago the futility of debating anti-system and/or anti-govt zealots.
Leary, you are accusing RH of twisting your words.
Leary, you twist my words all the time.
I NEVER said a anything "demeaning" about teachers. YOU said I did.
My criticisms are targeted at the "system" because the "system" is not in control of itself. It is controlled.
I'm well aware, Leary, that there are MANY wonderful teachers out there who actually care and want to nurture individuality and intelligence in their students.
I actually had a few of them myself.
I ran into an old teacher in my home town a couple years ago in a cafe. We ended up having lunch together. He loves me and I love him - to this day.
Why? Because he was a GREAT teacher. And whenever I had a great teacher, I was a great student.
Rich, Mr. Hendrickson is more comfortable communicating with us through Matt. Matt will usually italicize Robert's words so we know who is speaking. Of course his style is so unique that he really doesnt even need to sign them any more. Lovely guy, we are so pleased to have him.
Anyone who knows me knows I am a fan of the most avant garde films created...but this looks like utter crap. unless it was directed by near GodHead Crispin Glover (which it wasn't)...whose trailers always look like crap but end up being one of the most profound things you've ever seen on the screen, I'll be steering clear of this one...and this is coming from someone who will watch pretty much anything Manson related.
Anyone see this movie? IMDB says it had a limited release March 2013. It was entered in the Transylvania Film Festival.

Amen! Patty does love her some Macy's though.

I'm a bit confused why are Matt's posts signed by Robert Hendrickson

ReplyDeleteYes Rich, Patty is correct. RH emails his comments to me & I post them. Awkward, but he prefers it this way.
ReplyDeleteI was wondering about that myself and for what it's worth I'm with Patty and Suze on the freedom thing.
ReplyDeleteWhat's the matter La-dee-DAH?

ReplyDeleteI didn't realize David Crosby and Charles Manson were the same person until I saw this post.
