You may want to consider a light breakfast at ‘The Colony Café’:

So many choices with Breakfast ‘served all day’. Steel Cut Oats sounds dangerous and organic, but watch out cuz it’s only served till 11:30am daily. Not too sure what the breakfast served all day claim is all about, but hey, it’s California so it all makes sense. The La Brea Toast sounds like it will stick to your ribs, but considering the area, you may want to pass on the Fruit Bowl (not what you’re thinking). Unless you were thinking of a guy mooning you with his twig and berries, then it’s exactly what you’re thinking.
So what is apropos to the tour and this particular motif? Three doors down, at 10943 W Pico Blvd is where Gary Hinman worked as a music teacher.
Does everyone here know that the MANSON documentary never once actually uses Manson's voice?
Notice Squeaky in the middle of that poster! I wonder why she was picked out of all his women to grace the cover?

The entire film. There's a handful of times Manson is speaking but it isn't him - it's a voice over actor. It's Manson's words but not his voice.
And the part where you see the title "the voice of Charles Manson" and you hear someone singing Helter Skelter, it's actually Clem.
I'm so bummed I wasn't able to go.
It was a lively audience. A good time for all. Saw some old friends & made some new ones like Stoner & Cindi. Very worthwhile all the way around!
Watching Manson, the original 35mm, on a big screen was awesome. And it was great with a large audience who knew the subject well. Meeting a few blog readers was a treat, too.
I just got home a bit ago and am absolutely exhausted. It was a kick-ass tour. Stay tuned.....
Is ColScott really on the tour? I'd buy a ticket to hear a conversation between him and Robert H. Now that would be informative.

Wow that explains alot! I always thought 'Charlies' voice in the doc was extremely weird. It always bothered me. Where did u get your info however Max Frost? I believe u r correct but wonder where u came by the info. Thanx.

No that's not his voice. His voice from that speach can be heard partially in hendrickson's sequel "Inside the Manson Gang."
Don't know what you mean by he seemed awfully mellow. In the original audio he is even more mellow than the voice over actor's voice. No hint of frustration. A lot more casual actually.
I believe the first person to tell me that was George Stimson. By then I had become so familiar with Charlie's voice (from all the interviews) as well as Clem's - it was kind of a DUH moment of realization.
Several years later I asked Hendrickson why this happened, and he said it was because the original audio was horrible. It was done on a half-ass tape recorder. Like I said in the other post, you can hear a little bit of the real audio in Hendrickson's sequel.
Because at that point she was also independently famous for the "attempted assassination" of Ford.

What Max Frost is saying is true...I just recently saw a vidoe of a comparison of two clips of the same scene in the movie...one with Charlies real voice, one with the voiceover...much higher pitched and faster.

The guy in the baseball hat is a friend of mine. He's definitely NOT CIA! He would find that very funny... I helped him with a short film he recently wrote & directed.
