Patty is wondering the same thing. She still thinks there's important shit on those tapes, but it could just be some legal technicality that "could hurt his chances for release." Yeah right, like he's ever getting ut. If Bruce is not getting out, Tex is sure as hell not getting out.
if the Tex Tapes were put on a DVD and sold to the public for say $39.95, how many copies would be sold. Of course it is impossible to say without knowing the content, but let's just say there is nothing "indictable" on them. We'd all buy a copy of course, but I wonder about the level of general public interest at this point.
yeah, I have always felt that the "general public" interest in Manson was way overrated. But then I remember that there are 6 million odd folk out there that have read Helter Skelter. So I do think if something unusual or newsworthy happened to one of the key players there will be a spike in interest. I am really curious to see what transpires upon Charlie's death. I still have to believe he would prefer to go out with a bang instead of a wimper. We'll see.
It's not legally filed until the court date stamps it into their electronic system and assigns a doc # to it, which should appear at the bottom along with the case number. So did they get it appealed in time?
I've read that lawyers for death row inmates sometimes file appeals at the last minute just to get a short stay in execution. Could this appeal be to get a short stay in Tex being tried for other murders?

Not even on the LA TV sites yet. Heh...
Well done!
Bravo, Matt! Seems to me that Tex would not be filing an appeal to the decision unless he had something to hide.
Or he thinks he can sell the tapes somehow ... even though he already released his rights to them.
definitely adds to the intrigue...
This is getting ridiculous. What in the hell is he hiding?

WHAT'S ON THEM TAPES?????
LAPD will get those tapes. He's delaying for the sake of delaying.

Likely not a lot of interest from the masses.

I want to meet the kind of lawyers who would sign up to defend Tex Watson. I bet they kick puppies and don't recycle.

Never mind, it's stamped at the top. Dang. Wonder how long the appeal will last?
Perhaps the tapes are not so unproblematic as Tex said!
