"Both of us have been attacked by websites, viciously attacked over many, many years," Hoyt said. "I'd like to be an example to anyone who is ever a witness to a crime to come forward and be brave."
Amen, ladies.

Thank you, Mr. Patty, for the tip.
Both say they still get threats from the cult killer's supporters - mostly white supremacists enamored with murders Manson orchestrated to incite a race war dubbed "Helter Skelter."
I believe this to be untrue. I personally know of hundreds of Manson supporters, none of whom are "white supremacists" and none of whom are "enamored of murders". Most of us completely reject the "helter skelter" hypothesis. And none of us are threatening anyone.
Debra's organization once contacted me about helping, and I respectfully declined as it would be a conflict of interest. This was after asking them to join me in an effort to take grisly crime photos off the Internet.
I think that the "threats" cited by Ms. Tate and Ms. Hoyt, referencing Manson supporters, are a wild exaggeration.
So on the Bio Channel Manson special that was on earlier tonight, the narrator claims Hoyt had never taken LSD prior to the hamburger incident. Hoyt was interviewed in right after the voice over. Does this strike you guys as false?
AC, there's a lot of freaks out there, and some of them are enamored of the iconic "serial killer" that the media has made Charlie out to be. Patty would not be a bit surprised if Deb and Barb did not actually get threats from fringe weirdos who were not a part of the ATWA "in" group. Any time you put yourself out there, SOMEONE will make a target out of you. Guaranteed.
Patty, I'm thinking that the most vitriol that either Ms. Tate or Ms. Hoyt has experienced is from the "official" blog.
If either lady is receiving threats, it's not from anyone on the various ATWA sites. And IF either lady is receiving threats, I suggest they involve the police.
However, this sounds as suspect as Ms. Hoyt claiming she's never willingly ingested LSD.
When Barb and Deb said that they have been attacked on line over and over, The Colonel is the first guy that came to mind. Patty does not share said vitriol, btw. She would not want to be either of them - their lots in life have been hard.
Barb has told alot of stories that were and are disproved. I wouldnt be surprised if this is another. What exactly would a Manson follower have to gain for threating either of them? Unless she is referring to the early 70s.
"Both say they STILL GET THREATS from the cult-killer's supporters"
That implies recently.
A.C. is right. I have never heard of any ATWA/Manson supporter say anything hostile about the victims families. The topic rarely even comes up as these folks are not fixated on 1969 and more interested in what CM has to say about the world today.
