And another Mary pic: courtesy of LadyNoel
Friend of the Blog LadyNoel from The Helter Skelter Forum (see http://www.helterskelterforum.com) has forwarded this additional new Mary pic for consideration by you, The Evilist. Thank you Lady, you da bomb.
Lady Madonna, children at your feet. Wonder how you manage to make ends meet? Who finds the money when you pay the rent? Did you think that money was heaven sent?
Friday night arrives without a suitcase, Sunday morning creeps in like a nun. Monday's child has learned to tie his bootlace. See how they run?
Lady Madonna, baby at your breast. Wonder how you manage to feed the rest. Lady Madonna lying on the bed. Listen to the music playing in your head.
When I find myself in times of trouble Mother Mary comes to me Speaking words of wisdom, let it be And in my hour of darkness She is standing right in front of me Speaking words of wisdom, let it be
Patty thinks she has a lovely wholesome Scandinavian appeal. She was a UC Berkeley grad who worked there in the campus library. Patty has real-life friends who have worked there too, and Patty is also a grad of a liberal UC campus. She has a lot of empathy for Mary.
Mary loved her man wholly and put up with a lot of shit. How could she have seen the Gary thing coming? And even if she did, so many of us who loved too hard when we were young did truly atrocious things. Not murder mind you, but, you can make the logical leap and see how it might have gone down.
May she trust one of us and tell us what she knows someday soon. One way to make reparations for past misdeeds is to help others learn from them.
Well put, Patty. Next to Grogan, Mary is the person I would most like to hear from. Imagine Chelsea Handler sitting down with Clem and Mary. Now that would be a hoot. And I bet highly informative.
Let Patty be perfectly clear when she says she wishes that Mary would speak to "one of us," it would not have to be Patty or Matt or Liz.
She could talk to Brian, or The Colonel, or even Cats for all Patty cares. Just as long as "the truth" comes out. Or at least, the gospel according to Mary. There is no denying that her perspective is extremely valuable.
great post Whoopi. I love it when posters 'humanize' the characters involved in this mind blowing saga. I truly wish we had more evidence of remorse from Mary over Gary, but I still choose to think of her as more misguided than evil. Just my choice is all.

I wonder if Tex still thinks she's hot.
ReplyDeleteLots of people always say Mary was the ugliest of the Manson girls. I always found her very appealing, except for the whole she might stab me problem.

ReplyDeleteI have no idea how Patty and Liz manage to find these people but WOW...truly amazing detective skills.
ReplyDeleteLike all of you have said, I too would love to hear from her.
