San Diego, CA, June 08, 2011 –(PR.com)– The feature story for the June 2011 NUG Magazine is entitled "Charles Manson and ATWA." In an exclusive interview, freelance writers Kelly & Crystal Hutchinson were able to obtain some insight from Charles Manson, along with friends Gray Wolf and Star, on his music, ATWA, and the Savior Project.
In January of 2011, Charles Manson published a 12-page ATWA booklet that includes his life experiences in his own words, the role of ATWA, and the Savior Project.
The booklet describes:
"The Savior or Savior Project is an idea of Charles Manson’s for a seed gun: a gun that anyone/everyone can use to quickly and effectively plant seeds over a vast area. Currently, the project is developing functional loads and proper seed/compost mixtures to be used universally in common paintball guns. Mr. Manson has expanded the invention to include M-80 block guns converted to seed loads, seed-mortars, seed-bombs dropped by helicopter, seed artillery, etc."
The interview was compiled by questions answered via email, postal mail, and by phone conversation between Charles Manson and Gray Wolf.
About: NUG Magazine is San Diego’s Original Cannabis & Culture Publication. The print version is distributed monthly free of charge all over San Diego County, as well as through a paid subscription service to readers all over the world. I guess Ol' Charlie hasn't seen the gun they use to seed the sides of freeways for miles yet......oh yea, how could he.
Vast areas with a paint gun, that's funny.
Glad you found the humor, Ken. ;)
Is Sandra Good or any of the most rabid supporters involved in any of this anymore?
I'm agahst with ATWA! How dare ATWA promote the introduction of invasive non-indigenous plants such as Cannibas to regions of the world that are not native to this species! Don't they care about the weaker indigenous plants of the Earth and the affect this will have on them. If ATWA destroys the lower level plant species by the introduction of this invasive non-indigenous plant, they will surely destroy our Mother Earth! If we truely care about our children, we must STOP ATWA NOW!!!;)
All the eco groups are full of kooks. They mean well but lack sound thinking. They tend to attract obsessive compulsives mainly concerned with getting their way. They love getting in their SUVs and driving 300 miles to protest fossil fuels.
A local cannabis magazine. I would think that contributing editorial to that publication would be like putting a neon sign on your house begging the cops to bust you.
"No one ever lost money underestimating the intelligence of the American Public" - Richard M. Nixon.
Matt, you know weed is "legal" out here with a prescription, right? You go see a "special" pot doctor who says "yes, you have a hangnail, you need to smoke some chronic." Then a group like Medicann gives you an ID can which you can use anywhere. You can get an app for your iphone that shows you were all the dispensaries are: there are over 100 in the LA area alone. It's everywhere, literally.
Meh ... I much prefer a nice cold micro-brew.
Charles came up with that concept quite a few years ago, before the Japanese "Seed bombs" and the patented highway seed spewers.
It's pretty simple. Buy a standard paintball gun, fill it with "seed balls" to eject seeds onto places where there is nothing growing. The idea is to try to use seeds from your local area, wildflowers and indigenous plants, not invasive species.
There is a team working on creating both the seed gun and seed balls that work more than half the time... haven't gotten just the right mix of soil, fertilizer and seeds yet, as well as some agent to hold them all together. But it's happening.
Cannabis is very useful to create rope, clothing, paper and other products that use fiber. As long as it's not smoked or ingested, it's a good thing.
The interview hasn't much depth. I'd encourage reading Charles's actual booklet, which has many good ideas for environmental preservation.
Seed bombs are a major element in guerilla gardening. They are very effective in spreading growing things and transforming dead urban areas. Most folks who are into seed bombing wouldn't drive the cliche SUV, they would overturn it.
jmm1970 none of the original manson circle was ever rabid...
