Yes, I am celebrating, dancing on this murderer's grave. Or, um, underwater as the case may be.
But think... several of his family members were killed along with him. That is tragic... but... it's collateral damage. In order to get the big fish, a few minnows are swept away, too.
Why is this considered acceptable by our society... but killing a dope dealer is viewed as wrong, and the collateral damage of a movie actress is considered so important that even people who were only peripherally involved in the killings are imprisoned for 40 years?
AC I totally agree with you that the law has been applied inequitably regardless of Charles' guilt or innocence because he is so high profile. I also think that he is much safer where he is because for as many friends as he has, he has ten times as many enemies. Too many folks gunning for him. Perhaps prison has saved Charles' life (?)
No, actually Mary, I think that a famous actress, an international person with a degree and a business woman should know what might happen to them if they associate with known law breakers.
Not saying collateral damage is a good thing, or that it's right, just that it IS.
I think the comparison is terrible with all due respect :)
We made Osama who he is in many ways- right down to putting the guns in his hands. It is good that this deviant is gone- but the better accomplishment would be to gain some understanding into why so many millions hate us around the world. If we dont learn ways to ease the tension out there- another Osama is just a matter of time...
But what does that have to do with butchering a very pregnant lady??
In the society in which I live it is wrong to kill anyone- drug dealers included...
It is also wrong to shoot people in the gut, and to chop them in the ear, and to rape people, and beat people, and steal from people, and give drugs and have sex with underage girls..
Charlie is right where he belongs- and Osama is too...
Congratulations to us all for that!!
Alas- as some of us still have not learned the lesson from Charlie- I fear around the world, the message will not be " you cant mess with the US"- but that we have killed another Martyr- and the need exists for new ones to rise in there place..
It is a ironic comparison- because while you wonder how poeple can be so fanatical as to follow an obvious dangerous radical who wants to hurt others...
You look at those who would still support Charlie Manson after all these years, and after all we know now - that they didn't have the benefit of knowing then...
I jsut dont get how a women can stand up and support a man who she has never met- but knows beat, raped, and pimped young women???
If this was your brother our cousin, and you had to defend family- I could ALMOST understand it.. But to pick a complete stranger based on what we know and decide this is the person I want to hold up as a role model to other young people...
and insofar as "killing a drug dealer" is AC saying TLB was over a drug burn? because it is been saidby many like Red and Blue this was for ATWA~ but if so why wasnt an oil exec or furrier killed for this point,,,I doubt sharon tate had much to do with the oil and air pollution and animals being killed for fur-just my opinion
One ugly ass rag head is dead, deservedly so, and yeah, it's something to be happy about for a quick minute. There's always one person who veers off topic of course. We go from Osama to Tate to bad drug deals to poor Charlie Manson. What was the original post? Oh, yeah, it's about that rag head.

and all due respect to all to compare osama death all the way back to TLB is like pissing on the 911 victims this was about osama death not about the conspiracy theories of TLB killings re focus all and apologies abound and respect hmmm sounds more like kissing butts
My son in law is in the Air Force, stationed at Andrews AFB. Early yesterday my daughter called and told me something big was happening..........this was in the morning, 12 hours before the announcement. She said they got a phone call that repeated a recorded messege over and over, that the base was at the highest level of alert. We knew something was up but didn't expect this great news.
Can you imagine how stoked the guy who actually pulled the trigger is.
I wonder if in 40 years if there will be a very small speck of society that will argue on blogs, that Bin Laden didn't get a fair trial and his death was an injustice. Even though he was the main figurehead behind an ideology that caused the death of innocent people, I wonder if these people will argue his innocense because he didn't actually kill anybody on 9/11. I wonder if there will be a small speck of society in 40 years that will wade through all the evil deeds that Bin Laden is responsible for and try to blame us for his actions, because he wouldn't want to hurt a flower. I wonder if these people will lash out while trying to argue that Bin Laden and the Jihadists behind their ideology are sane because they believed so strongly in what they were doing. I wonder if this lashing out will be because they have nothing to stand on to validate their reasoning for supporting Bin Laden and his Jihadists. I hope in 40 years from now that if a small speak of society tries to justify Bin Laden and his jihadists, that they are able to relieze that that is all they are, a very small speck of society.
St Circumstance, how do you know that none of the women trapped in Osama's compound with him weren't very pregnant ladies? And children, and old people
My point is, Sharon Tate had a choice in who she associated with. She made the decision to marry Polanski and hang around Frykowski. Fundie Muslims hold their women as slaves. They haven't a choice about anything.
Charles never raped anyone. He had more p*ssy than the average billy goat, so there would be no point.
However, Polanski was trying to procure young girls, under age 12, from Charles to use with his Hell-e-wood friends. Sharon couldn't possibly NOT have known about that.
Here in Bangor, MI, if a negro pimp and drug dealer captured a young woman and held her hostage, he would get more than shot in the stomach. And the shooter would SO get a plaque for bravery.
BTW bin Laudin was part of a religious philosophy, the titular leader of a movement, that exploits women, cuts off their noses when they smart off at men or in-laws, cuts off young girls' clitorises, marries twelve-year-olds to older men which often causes the young girls to have cervical ruptures during sex, and ensures that women can't work, hold office, or hold a position of leadership within their religion. So yeah, I'm glad the jerk is dead.
I'm just pointing out that the deeds of evil men lead to collateral damage of innocent bystanders.
Same thing happened to Sharon Tate. But the same thing happens in ghettos every day, when the gangstas miss their rivals and shoot the woman and the baby.
When it happens to foreigners and ghetto dweller, no one seems to care.
Well, they aren't releasing the pictures of Bin Laden. I want to see them as much as the Nancy, Kitty, Bruce pictures. If anybody can get the pictures of Bin Laden, Liz can. Come on Liz, get busy! You can do it!
Here's one bastion of evilness that Di Stefano will NOT be representing...

My brother flew in AWACS and still does in the Researves. He was involved in the first strike on Iraq.
I can only imagine what they feel with OBL being dead.
I am very proud of my brother and am very thankful for what your son in law has done for us.
The young man who actually took him out must be really pumped. Would be fun to buy him a beer or three and hear about it!

"is AC saying TLB was over a drug burn?"
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely, some of the folks at the Tate Polanski house were involved in a drug burn. Hinman was a drug burn. LaBianca was over a gambling burn.
