  3. "he would have to play Tex when he was older."

    - I dunno Liz, he's already 42 and still dresses like a cross between Alice Cooper & Arthur Brown; don't believe he'll cultivate much more.

    : )

Has he ever acted outside of that 'Mar/Man' persona he displays on stage with his band?

Might be easier just hire Ed Asner as George Spahn and Mary Tyler Moore as Rosemary... nah, the co$t just became prohibitive.

It's too bad Leonard Nimoy got old - I've always thot Tex favored Mr. Spock after Watson was returned to LA post arrest...same pointy-eared visage/same green around the gills devilish look.

  4. Bristol Palin as Gypsy, Glen Beck as the Bug, Pauly Shore as Pauly Watkins, Miley Cyrus as Linda K. and so on.
if you're gonna have Lindsey and Marilyn you might as well go all out with the farce.

  5. There is only one actress who could play Susan Atkins......Hilary Swank. For that role, you would need the best.

  6. MM played a transexual Club kid singer in the movie Party Monsters.

  7. I find the casting of Marilyn Manson interesting since I was a big fan of his in my twenties, but I doubt this film is going to get made, especially if Lohan is connected to it. I'd really love to see Oliver Stone write and direct a film on this subject. Johnny Depp could play Manson quite well, but I doubt that's ever going to happen. Would like to see Elizabeth Moss as Krenwinkel, Melanie Lynskey as Atkins, Allyson Hannigan as Lynn...I really loved the idea of Thora Birch as Sandy...too bad Susanna Lo replaced her.

  8. Personally, I would like to see Quentin Tarantino make the ultimate Manson film. He understands the criminal mind and the ambiguity of good and evil (a favorite subject of mine) better than any film person I have ever known.

  9. Tarentine would make a very good movie- there was a rumor for awhile Oliver Stone was working on one- he would have done o.k. too I think...

  10. Stone would have Charlie acting on behast of the Freemasons or the DAR. Tarentino always has a "cool character" but TLB has NO cool characters, no heroes. Linda, Ronnie Howard and the Bug make lousy heroes.

  11. I read somewhere that Johnny Depp is fasicinated with Manson....but dont remember where....He would be good as Charlie.
Chances are though half the people in Hollywood would never get the story right....possibly Tarintino could do a good job...

  12. Hey Stacey- in the Chapter John Waters wrote about LULU in his book- " Role Models" he says Depp was going to visit her once in prison- but either wouldn't
    ( or couldn't- I dont remember which)

Get past the paperwrok part of the visitation procedure...

I know that Depp was in one of Waters films before he became who he is now..

Se he did at least have some interest in at least one of them...

  13. Maybe I did not have that exactly right- I went back and re -read it...

from John Waters chapter on LULU...

Leslie Van Houten is quite a name to drop and famous people are eager to hear her story. When we were filming Cry-Baby, Johnny Depp heard my pleas concerning Leslie's parole and offered to visit her. Leslie, like everyone else in the world, had great respect for Johnny Depp and was moved that he, as my buddy, cared about her case. But we must have been nuts! Can you imagine the press if they found out? Think of the headlines -- "Johnny Depp joins Manson Family". Luckily for all of us, Johnny's visiting form was turned down because of an "impending assault charge", probably a hot-headed reaction to paparazzi.

  14. Panamint Patty owns a copy of Party Monster. She bought it on ebay because you cannot get it on Netflix. Now that was an interesting true murder movie - about Michael Alig chopping up his drug dealer "Angel" into tiny little pieces.

Marily Manson actually plays a drugged-out woman named Christina and was quite good. However, he was not exactly acting, he was just being his freaky self. Just like Courtney Love in The People vs. Larry Flint.

  15. Me and Mrs C watched the Michael Moore Documentary Bowling for Columbine last night- and there is a brief interview with Marylin Manson..

If you have seen the movie- this wont sound insane-

he comes across as the most intelligent person they speak to in the entire movie in my opinion...

  16. i LOVE marilyn manson! i know i mentioned this before. even though i am an old lady now, i have loved him since i was 20.
and still NEVER miss a show.

ST said about MM- he comes across as the most intelligent person they speak to in the entire movie in my opinion...

i have met him twice. the first time i could not speak,i was star struck. it was at his book signing in NY.
the second meeting- was pre arranged. Marilyn collects "things" and we had a "thing" for him. we were given free front row for Ozzfest(where he was performing)and back staged signed passes. after the show he took us to Tavern On The Green, in MA. we were in some VIP room
we was able to talk with him for hours. he bought us drinks and food. but i was disapointed he did not share (or show) any drugs. he even offered to sign my Charlie shirt i was wearing. his idea not mine.

he IS very generous and intelligent. everything else is just an act.

  18. This would be such a great movie if somebody really understood how to depict it. Probably make a better HBO six part series.

Human Beings are so complex, capable of compassion and cruelness in the same minute.

Who could really bring this story all together?

  19. I learned quickly to add the word Charles when searching for info about Charley. Without it, I got more hits on MM than on CM. With MM appearing in a movie about CM searches might become more difficult again.

  20. St. C-
thanks for info on Johnny Depp. He was very close to the writer Hunter S. Thompson(even living in his basement for a while) whom I love....I bet a lot more celebrities are interested in CM, more than they will admit too.

  21. i knew a murderabilia dealer for a while and he told me johnny depp had a huge collection of manson related material and art. i wonder if polanki knew this when he directed depp in the 7th. gate? i also like marilyn manson even though i'm in my midforties. i agree he is very intelligent and i wish he was still as public as he used to be. anyone that scares christians is okay with me.

  22. Curse death and too the fates be inopportune timing.

Another candidate comes to mind the more I look at that profile picture of Tex Watson on page 1.

    "Blood mother, BLOOD!"

    Hereeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee's Joh- er, 'Norman'!

Yes it's the creepy guy proprietor of the Bates Motel, courtesy actor Anthony Perkins.

An gentle guy who would not hurt a fly & whose only real vice in life (not counting those several neuroses) was he loved his late rotting Mother - who he kept in a rocker the root cellar; HOW he enjoyed wearing her favorite dress; sounds just like a typical day play acting at Spahn Ranch.

    * Did you know -

Norman Bates surreptitious ogling of Marion Crane shower through the peephole was the inspiration for Barbara Streisand's hit song 'People' and of the movie 'Porky's'?

No you didn't - I made up both of those ridiculous lies.
