"I fought the law". Very tragic the way he died.
The Colonel is going to be on a rant.

it looks like James Marsden isn’t ready to just get sucked into the vacuum of generic films quite yet. Deadline reports that the actor will be playing famous cult leader (and decent musician) Charles Manson in The Dead Circus. The movie, written by Adam Davenport and John Kaye (who also wrote the novel), fictionalizes the very real and very mysterious death of singer Bobby Fuller, throwing in the Manson family as part of the conspiracy for giggles.
With the help of a former Manson Family member who’s trying to put her past behind her, he finds out that the mystery of Fuller’s death may be solvable if he can find a series of snuff films the Family shot back in the 60′s, which have been buried in Death Valley, California
So.... a true family member has stated that the mysterious snuff films do exist?
ReplyDeleteKEN- i can't figure it out either.
ReplyDeleteit says "fictionalizes" the very real and very mysterious death of singer Bobby Fuller, throwing in the Manson family as part of the conspiracy for giggles.
so i am thinking it is all fake.
i think next time Panamint Patty goes out there she should try to find those films. lol
ReplyDeleteJust tell me where to dig and I'm on it.

very dedicated! lol
The movie is based on a book called "The Dead Circus" - it is fiction, but the story wraps around real characters - Bobby Fuller's death and a fictional "ex family member" named Alice...the description of Goler Wash is very much fiction!
ReplyDeleteThank you LightFoot.
ReplyDeleteThis is the second Manson film in the making with a fictional
"Alice."
Manson girls also has a fictional
"Alice" Rainer i think is her last name. Her role is a CNN type reporter.
Don't be confused...just read the book! Yes, fiction of course, however just go to your local library and either pick up a copy of "The Dead Circus" or else order it from the inter-library loan. While you're at it, try "Stars Screaming" too. Both are worth it.
ReplyDeleteI fear, however, that the movie version will be much more pared down than the book.
I also have read "The Dead Circus".
ReplyDeleteIt's fiction but I really enjoyed it.
just ordered my copy for this summer's reading list. :)
ReplyDeleteIf you're going to hide a snuff film why do you need to drive way the hell out into the desert and climb a nearly impassable gully road in order to bury it? Couldn't you just burn it?
