lead singer of the band Korn and, owner of Ted Bundy's V.W.
Korn performed on the Ozzfest tour a few times.
I used to attend every year. As a side attraction one year Davis brought a tractor trailer full of his true crime / musician memorabilia. I paid the $5 to walk thru the whole thing.
He has a very huge collection of stuff.
Old surgery tools, barbaric implements of torture,
John Gacy's artwork as well as his Pogo the clown costume.
I remember he had a number of Kurt Cobain's guitars
and quite a bit of other Kurt stuff as well. Well worth the $5.00.
I have included a link to an article about Davis and his "murderabilia" collection. The article mentions how he
managed to purchase Bundy's car.
Which makes me think the owner of the 59' Ford may have purchased the Manson/Swartz car the same way.

Thats pretty cool tidbit of info. It makes me wonder what really happened to family bus. I have read about it being blown up, and another site had a pic of it. Its hard to say. What do you think of the V.W. van that Backporch and I think belonged to gary Hinman? The only thing we have to go on is that it has Monthly parking stickers from UCLA dated in 1969. Also its a few miles from dennis wilsons house.
ReplyDeletethey never found Gary's VW, I bet Bruce dumped it back there when the heat came down on Bobby.

i thought i read/heard some where that some law figure said -they had it hauled out of there.
as for Gary's bus, i have it from a good source that "someone" dumped it very far from any Family connections.
Yeah they hauled it out and supposedly parked it in an old mine and blew it up with dynamite. theres another link I found. If you google "manson Bus" its the second link I think. They have a pic of an old bus claiming its the original. I doubt it though.
ReplyDeleteThe Bus: This subject was the reason I stopped reading and posting on Turner's site. I was called a liar and a few not so nice names.
ReplyDeleteThis is the truth as I know it. If you watch Charles Manson Superstar, you can see the blown up bus down the wash where the Helter Skelter truck is.
I have in my possession a window frame from the bus I acquired from the bus in the late 70's. It was clearly identifiable as a bus until the mid to late 80's. The bulk of the sheet metal is at the old Lotus Mine. Look at a school bus before you head up there, and you can see the sheet metal on buildings and there used to be a pile across the street.
It's been a few years since I have been up there, but then there still were springs from the seats around.
I sent Liz a picture of my window frame and she can post it.

those bastards!!!!!!
Hinman’s VW - From Chapter 53 in the Family - “Mark Arneson, the person to whom Manson had sold Gary Hinman’s microbus to someone named Louis Puhek.” It goes on to say that Puhek was pulled over, and the vehicle impounded.
ReplyDeleteIt took me a few hours to find this!!
We looked long and hard at the lotus mine for bus parts, but couldn't locate any. But then again it took me three trips before finding the hs truck, so it might just be me.
ReplyDeleteAbout Gary's van...BPT has a video on youtube where he shows what could be the one. It had a spring, 1969 parking permit on it from UCLA.
Being the weirdo that I am, as soon as the LA weather clears up(lots of rain)I'm going with a friend to the Hinman bus site. I will post pics. I'm not sure how soon it will be, supposedly it's sort of a hike to get there and I am very lazy...
ReplyDeleteGrump, or anyone else:
